About Me
Hello!
My name is Jessica and I am the Founder and Owner of Jessica’s Cookie Studio. Decorating cookies started with a passion I had at four years old. As a kid, I would drag a stool into the kitchen and stand on my tippy toes to whisk a bowl of chocolate cake. Baking became my whole life, and owning my cookie business has been a dream come true.
I’m a proud Alumna of The Culinary Institute of America for Baking and Pastry, Food Business Management, and Wine. Culinary school changed me and opened up so many opportunities that four year old me wouldn’t believe we achieved. I graduated in 2019 with an AOS in Baking and shortly after, earned my BS with the CIA.
When the pandemic hit in 2020, I worked at a small pastry shop near my hometown. After working there for barely a week, I decided it was best to leave and on my way home, the idea of opening up my own business was born. From that moment I worked non stop to create Jessica’s Cookie Studio while jobless and finishing my Bachelors degree online.
Opening up a small business while the world was shut down was a stressful and insane decision. My first ever pop-up was a tent in my driveway with a folding table, spreads of cookies, and x’s chalked on the pavement for social distancing. Right as I opened, there was a line of people. It was so rewarding knowing all my hard work finally paid off.
In the 3 years since, I made a cross-country move to California to pursue my wine career all while continuing my business after hours. After a year of continuing my cookie business and working a full time wine job, the stress got to me so I decided to shut down.
Now at the beginning of 2024, I am back with so many fun things in store for the Sonoma/Napa cookie community and if you’ve read through this whole blurb about me, your support and love are so meaningful beyond words. Thank you for always sticking with me and following me on this crazy cookie train.
